The contents of the book

In "Goblin seven notes in red is traced the career of the group, from the beginning linked to the progressive rock of the early '70s to recent publications and reissues on CD, by analyzing in detail all film production and record company, the business 'dark' as performers - many arrangers of scores made by other authors, tour and participating in television. The examination of the work of Goblin and comparison with numerous albums and soundtracks, Italian and foreign, can reconstruct the music scene at the same time period and to provide, through a visual novel, a section on Italian film production of 'genre' of the '70s and '80s.
The book does not just present the history of the Goblin and the various musicians who have been involved or to analyze the disks that have made movies and music, but examines the use of sound in rock music from the film before and after the advent of the Goblin, in order to make more evident the innovative contribution that the group has given the national and international film music scene. Reading the book allows you to frame a new perspective on the use of music in the cinema of fear and the role , marginal but worthy of attention, which the Italian rock bands have played in our film industry.
