For Saturday, May 1 Walking the Rome Center organizes Nordic Walking a walk along the 'High dell'Aniene Valley with a stop for Picnic with BBQ lunch and later visit the beautiful monastery of San Benedetto or said Sacro Speco !

The walk will start near the famous Villa of Nero (just outside Subiaco) and then you go into the path along the river bank Aniene where you can immediately see a pretty waterfall and a pond that of St. Benedict. Continuing will meet a variety of sources and natural caves carved by the river that makes the fascinating landscape and surrounded by dense vegetation that is certainly one of the most picturesque river Aniene. If there is time until we reach the Mola Vecchia, an old mill built by Benedictine monks at a point where the course of 'Aniene form a natural trough.

Warning
